Cornelius A. Lindsey was born in the rural town of Newton, Mississippi on August 16, 1986. Cornelius Lindsey is a disciple to the only living, true Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the husband to Heather Lindsey, a son to Anthony and Clover Lindsey, and a brother to Agatha Marshall. He is the Founder and CEO of The Gathering Oasis an evangelistic ministry focused on gathering people together all over the world so they may grow and share the Gospel, and he is the President of Cornelius Lindsey Enterprises, a professional speaking and consulting firm focused on sharing biblical principles in practical ways in business, youth groups, etc. As a disciple of Christ, he has shared the Gospel and started gathering groups all over the United States, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ethiopia, and others. As a preacher, Cornelius’ passionate, high-impact delivery method delivered in a down to earth, memorable style is exactly what is needed to stir men to action and convey the passion that is birth out of the Gospel.
A native of Michigan, Heather was the 10th of 23 children adopted by her parents. Raised in a home with brothers and sisters of different nationalities, she learned early lessons in diversity and applies those in her dynamic presentations. After graduation from Michigan State University, she moved to New York City where she worked in the music industry and hosted television shows such as MTV’s TRL with the sole purpose to share Christ in a dark place. Today, Heather and her husband Cornelius live in Atlanta, GA where they have established The Gathering Oasis where they travel and preach all over the world. She is also the Founder of The Pinky Promise, an organization that promotes honoring God with your life & body whether single or married. Pinky Promise was founded in January 2012 and has grown to over 10,000 women making a promise to honor God with their life. Founder, Heather challenges teens, young adults and women to rise above cultural pressures and to stay determined to live for Christ regardless of their circumstances.
Carlis James Howze was born May 17, 1988 in Mobile, Alabama. He’s the son to Carlis Sr. (deceased) and Saundra Howze. He’s the brother to Stephen and Tammy Howze. He’s a graduate of Bishop State Community College where he received an Associates degree in Science. He is also a graduate of the University of South Alabama where he received a Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. He currently resides in Lawrenceville, Georgia where he serves as a Gwinnett County firefighter. He is also the Assistant Pastor for The Gathering Oasis, a church located in Midtown Georgia (www.thegonow.com). Carlis is passionate about his service to Jesus Christ. He’s bold in his preaching and rooted in his faith. The Gathering Oasis Men’s Ministry focuses on building a transparent community for men to communicate and mature, supporting brotherhood, providing help for men in need and encouraging men to live a life of service and honor to Jesus. The Gathering Oasis Women’s Ministry promotes unity and sisterhood amongst the women of the church, no matter what season of life they find themselves. This ministry provides opportunities for the women of the church to have the necessary emotional and spiritual support they require. The programs sponsored by the ministry encourages the women to fellowship with other Christian woman, help expand their knowledge of God’s Word and Biblical womanhood, enhance their relationship with God, build a stronger prayer life, find accountability partners, and to serve in the church and community.
